I am a writer, filmmaker, and graphic designer currently living on the California Central Coast.

I recently graduated with a B.A. in Film & Media Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, accompanied by Highest Honors and a grant from the Italian Cultural Heritage Foundation of Santa Barbara for critical writing.

Driven by an unabated passion for film, I began writing film reviews for my local paper, The Santa Maria Times, directly out of high school. I soon realized that I found little compatibility with the limits on creative impulse and opinion imposed by editorial brackets, both practical and ideological, and this drove me forward towards a more engaged relationship with moving images.

Though I ultimately decided to achieve my B.A., I have always had a will to teach myself the tools to realize my ideas. In the early aughts, I purchased the legendary Panasonic DVX-100 prosumer camera and set about at freelance work, ultimately winning three ADDY Advertising Awards in conjunction with the Glendale-based Next Movement Entertainment.

I continue to push myself to learn and understand both old and emerging technologies while critically exploring the environments they engender.
